At InspirED, we take the safeguarding of our young people very seriously and on this page we will outline our policy and procedures. These have been carefully developed to align with 'keeping children safe in education' documents. This is so we can minimize risk whilst also acting in a swift manner to deal with challenges as they arise.
Below is a summary of our procedures to ensure our children are safe whilst in our care;
An individual risk assessment in place compiled in conjunction with referrer before starting with InspirED,
A point of contact will be agreed for any SG matters to be shared from InspirED staff,
SG logs to be kept internally for any concerns raised and if appropriate shared with referrer,
Two parent/carer contacts given prior to starting with InspirED,
Parents/carers/referrers will be contacted if child is late for a session (time to be agreed),
Transport plans will be agreed at the induction meeting,
Parents/carers contacted daily for feedback,
All staff are aware of InspirED DSL and policy around logging and raising a concern,
All staff will receive safeguarding training and have an enhanced DBS check

Below is a summary of measures taken throughout the recruitment process to ensure all guidelines are followed;
Director holds 'safer recruitment' qualification,
All staff to complete safeguarding training,
All staff to read and sign off on the safeguarding policy,
Ongoing CPD offered to help address any additional needs,
All staff to have an enhanced DBS prior to working with children,
Relevant background checks and evidence compiled for all employees including two referees.
