The program emphasizes the "how" of personal growth, preparing students for future challenges.
Students work towards the Bronze Award in small groups with a high staff-to-student ratio for tailored support. This approach encourages personal growth, resilience, and self-reflection to support students to positively re-engage with their education.

Our Community-Based Volunteering opportunity, part of our Duke of Edinburgh's Award offer, provides students with the chance to give back to their local communities while developing key life skills. Through volunteering, students can engage in a variety of projects, such as supporting local charities, environmental initiatives, or assisting community events. This experience fosters teamwork, responsibility, and leadership, while also providing a sense of achievement and personal growth. It's a great way for students in our alternative provision to connect with their community, build confidence, and contribute to meaningful causes.
Our expedition and bushcraft program allows students to gain exposure to Yorkshire's natural beauty. Students will engage in a number of outdoor activities and gain practical skills in navigation, survival, and orienteering. They will also develop teamwork skills, resilience and organisation. They will engage in 12 sessions preparing for the final assessment at the end of the program.
